Moffat Creek Public School is a suburban K-8 school that comprises roughly 700 students and 65 staff members. About 40% of their student population lives in the walk zone, 50% live in the bus zone, and 10% live outside the catchment area. Bell times are 8:30 am and 2:50 pm. The school has before and after school care.

School traffic infrastructure includes a bus lane within a parking lot that holds a few spots for parents and three accessible parking spots for people with permits. There are sturdy bike parking racks on the east side of the school. Some days there are a few parking spots available for parent use. Myers Road in front of the school has very limited legal parking for parents.

A crossing guard assists students crossing Myers Road and Gatehouse.

Additional support at this school includes:

Trailblazers

A network of Trailblazers at Moffat Creek PS wear vests while walking to and from school. These students have received training in road safety and crisis alerts, so they know what to do if something out of the ordinary comes up on their way to school. Trailblazers increase the visibility of the walk to school and give parents peace of mind that there are walking experts on their child’s route. For more information visit Trailblazers

iWalk Day, Winter walk day & bike to school event days

See how many students can walk, ride, or roll to school on these special event days. Moffat Creek PS celebrates with various encouraging activities, so look for messaging on School Day or ask at the office if there is a guest joining a preferred route (or routes!). See our Programs page for more information about these events.
