Transportation Details for September 2024 AVAILABLE NOW!

Transportation details for the 2024/2025 school year will be available on Monday, August 19, 2024, via the Parent Portal for students in SK-Grade 12 (See information below regarding Junior Kindergarten [JK], new students & special education [Spec-Ed] students.). Access the Parent Portal here!

Eligible students are automatically assigned transportation using the home address on the students’ school records, and therefore do not need to be registered for the bus.

Some changes will occur between August 19th and September 4th for Special Education students.

No transportation information for September 2024 is available prior to Monday August 19, 2024

Junior Kindergarten, New Students & Special Education Students ONLY:

As JK & new students do not have an OEN (Ontario Education Number), transportation-eligible JK & new students’ families will receive an email from Contacts STSWR during the week of August 19, 2024 (August 19-23), using the contact information provided during registration. This email will contain your students transportation details.

Special Education families will also receive an email or letter with transportation details during the same week using information on the students school files.

*Please check your spam/junk folder during the week of August 19-23 if you do not see your student’s transportation information email in your main inbox.*

If there is no email on your students school record, a letter with the same transportation information will be sent to your home address that same week.

Common Questions

Q: The Parent Portal won’t let me add my Junior Kindergarten (JK) or new student to the Parent Portal?

A: You cannot add a student to your Parent Portal without an OEN (Ontario Education Number). Your new student will receive an OEN from their school in the fall. Once this has been received, you may then add your student to your list in the Parent Portal.

Click here to send a request to have your new student added manually by STSWR to your Parent Portal after August 26, 2024.

Q: I didn’t receive an email or letter with my students bus information, but I got one previously?

A: Only transportation-eligible JK students, new students with no OEN (Ontario Education Number), and Special Education students will receive a transportation letter or email. If your transportation-eligible student is in SK-Grade 12, their bus information will be available on the Parent Portal to view online. Access the Parent Portal here!

Never had a Parent Portal account? See our complete ‘How to Creat a Parent Portal Login’ guide here.

If by Monday August 26, 2024 you are unable to access your SK-Grade 12 student’s transportation information on the Parent Portal or have not received your JK/New/Spec-Ed students letter/email with their transportation information, please click here to contact us. *please check your spam/junk folder for your students bus information*

Q: We moved to a new home over the summer. Can my student still ride the bus from our new address?

A: Please contact your student’s school to update their school records to reflect their new address. STSWR cannot make changes to students’ school records. All schools will be open to the public on Monday, August 26, 2024, for any changes to student information.

Once the school has made this change and if the student is eligible, the bus will be assigned by the STSWR transportation planner through the student’s school records with the primary address listed. Click here to see if your student is eligible to ride the bus from their new address.

Q: Who should I contact if I have questions about my student’s bus route?

A: If you have questions about your student’s route to school, please contact your school’s Transportation Planner.

As transportation information on the Parent Portal becomes available for all families in the WRDSB and WCDSB on August 19, 2024, there will be higher than normal traffic volume on the website during this week. We appreciate your patience as you may experience some delays in your information loading.
