Transportation Information

After August 15th, STSWR sends out a letter directly to families of JK and SK students, detailing their child’s September transportation information.

STSWR gives out kindie tags to schools at WCDSB or WRDSB Administrative Start Up Meetings each school year for JK and SK students that will be transported. All elementary schools receive blank name tags in August to issue to newly eligible JK and SK students during the school year. You can also create your own:

STSWR Kindergarten Brochure

The STSWR Kindergarten Brochure  contains all the information for families of a new or current kindergarten student. Please print and fold before handing out on the first day of school.

Instructions for folding the brochure:  

• the inside will be the “Kindergarten Safety” portion
• fold the First Time Riders Program over first
• then fold the front over (with our organization’s name and logo)

Best Practices for Kindergarten transportation

Best Practices  that can be put into place to support the safe transportation and return of Kindergarten Students to their parents or guardians.

Student Seating Plan

A seating plan should be constructed in a coordinated manner between the school staff and bus driver.

Kindergarten students should always sit at the front of the bus, close to the driver.
