Crossing Guard Appreciation Week

June 5-9, 2023

Crossing Guard Appreciation Week is a celebration of the people who show up every day for our children who walk, bike, and roll to school. These safety-focused monitors provide strong guidance, bright smiles, and greater visibility for students, setting them up for successful school days.

Schools are encouraged to share the city-specific materials below with their school communities. Encourage students to use the Thank You cards provided by their municipality below, or create messages of their own for their favourite Crossing Guards. Schools are also welcome to share the social media materials provided by municipalities. Crossing Guards are an integral part of safe routes to school, and we want your help to let them know how much we all appreciate and depend on them!

Schools can also update their external signs with a message like “Crossing Guard Appreciation Week June 5-9” or “We ❤ our Crossing Guard, [name]!“.
