Your responsibilities & qualifications

School bus drivers are responsible for transporting students safely and on time, performing vehicle inspections, and ensuring safety during loading, unloading, and street crossing. They also participate in paid monthly safety training to maintain high standards. Previous experience is not necessary, but applicants must meet the following qualifications:

Age requirements

Meet the minimum age requirements to hold a school bus driver’s license in your province (and company standard minimum 21 years of age).

Driving experience

Have at least 3 years of driving experience (at least 1 in North America) and hold a valid (non-probationary) driver’s license. You should have a very good driving record.

Background check

Undergo & pass a Ministry-prescribed Medical examination, criminal record search, vulnerable sector clearance, and other background checks.
