If my student is involved in a musical program, can they take their instrument on the bus?

It is important to consider student safety in the event of an emergency. School buses are designed to transport students, not cargo.

For your students safety, musical instruments, in their cases, to a maximum size of 18 inches by 10 inches by 10 inches (46 cm by 26 cm by 26 cm) are allowed on the bus (flute, clarinet, trumpet, violin, ukulele, etc.). Instruments in their cases that exceed this size (saxophone, trombone, guitar, cello, drums, etc.) are not permitted. All musical instruments must be transported in their cases and kept on the student’s lap while riding the bus.
